We're gearing up for our 2024 SRTMS Dinner, Dance & Auction event, and we need YOUR help to make it an absolute success! 

 

The SRTMS DDA is a chance to bring our community together, create lasting memories, and support our school's goals. But we can't do it without a team of volunteers! Your energy, enthusiasm, and helping hands are crucial to making this event unforgettable. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or a first-timer, your contribution will make a real difference.

       SRTMS CASINO ROYALE DDA FAQs:      
 

Q: What kind of help is needed for the DDA this year? 

A: So much! Many hands make light work ... We need class auction basket coordinators, silent auction coordinators, live auction coordinators, graphic design/communication, printing services, portrait photographer, event photographer, decor, floral, event set up, event check in, event take down. 

 

 
 

Q: What has to scale back if we can't find more volunteers? 

A: This year, the lion's share of work for the Dinner, Dance & Auction rests in individuals securing items for auction baskets. If 30 people committed to soliciting donations for one basket each, we'd have more than enough items for our auction. 

Last year, our silent auction raised about $22,000. We'd love to be able to target the same amount this year but if we can't find help gathering items, we won't be able to achieve this goal. 

 

 
 

Q: What is involved in soliciting auction items? 

A: Sometimes it is as simple as spending a few minutes thinking of who you know out in the community that might be willing to make a donation or a service or item to help support the school. Hairdresser? Karate teacher? Perhaps they would like to support your child's school. There are communication templates available to help simplify the process. The DDA Committee has a list of businesses that donated to us last year and can provide that information to volunteers who are willing to help reach out. 

 

 
 

Q: I work during the day and can't attend your meetings, is there anything I can do from home or in the evenings?

A: Definitely - please let us know what time you have available and we will find ways that you can help! 

 

 
 

Q: I have questions and would like to talk to someone before I commit to volunteering - who can I talk to?

Q: What is the money that is raised at the DDA used for? 

A: So many things! We invite you to review our PTO budget to see what was approved for this year based on last years fundraising efforts.

Some examples are activities and programs such as:

  • After school programs
  • Funding for ASB
  • Teacher supplies
  • Staff appreciation
  • SRTMS Talent Show
  • Art & PE (TK-5)
  • Playground equipment
  • Academic Olympics
  • Field trips (including transportation)
  • Graduation/Promotion
  • Electives
  • Sports registration fees
  • Various Family events (movie night, family dances, etc.)
  • And much more ...
